ALIEN ENVOY is the alter ego under which Nick Kelly, former front man with The Fat Lady Sings and award-winning independent solo artist, now records with an array of guest collaborators.

"Nothing Left To Do But To Dance" has already been described as "a future festival anthem" by Hot Press and awarded Single Of The Week by prestigious US site www.stereoembersmagazine.com.

"Sunny" has just been serviced to radio in Ireland, accompanied by a new video conceived and directed by Nick who is also an Oscar-shortlisted film-maker (for his 2011 live action short "Shoe").

“ALIEN ENVOY is my way of being allowed to do things that are more collective, more experimental and more fun”, is how Nick has described his recently adopted musical persona.

Produced by Nick and Anthony Gibney, and remixed by the Steve Osborne, “Nothing Left To Do But To Dance” and "Sunny" are both taken from the forthcoming ALIEN ENVOY debut studio album “Loads” which will be released later this year.

October 2010 saw the release of the first ALIEN ENVOY album “Nine Lives”, a collection of nine songs recorded in fabled Dublin venue Whelans over the course of Gestation, an innovative nine month live and interactive project, featuring a stellar array of guest collaborators.

This collaborative approach extended to the public. Work-in-progress recordings were continually posted on the Gestation blog over the course of the project, the sleeve artwork for “Nine Lives” was drawn from original images submitted by fans, and the credits list over 250 people who sponsored the first pressing by buying it pre-release.
