Annoying Cloud was actually born a few years ago but not quite with the current format that I'm happy to introduce today.
Everything started when I arrived to Emerald Island more than 6 years ago. There were many things I missed from my country, Spain, but you can say the absence of Sunlight was the break point from where the project started.
The absence of light, the cold weather, the rain and of course the will to play music made me take my guitar and start to compose some songs to become a new passion.
When I was able to play the first chords from the typical songs you learn, i.e: The Beatles, something inside me started to grow, a need to compose my own songs, my own tracks.
After a while of being in Ireland I became part of Yukina, a band created by a bunch friends playing really nice Swamp Rock- amazing band by the way!
Finally I had a few songs composed so I decided to show them the outcome of hours and hours of playing around. One night Scott - Yukina's drummer - introduce me to Alice Grollero, a bass player with experience playing with different bands in Italy, she had recently moved to Ireland due the always growing Irish music scene, they proposed me to build up a new project with the songs I already had, happy times!.
This was the beginning of what is nowadays known as Annoying Cloud, the name as you probably have guessed already is related to the "never changing" Irish weather and to this Island where the music is beyond an art, usually a passion, sometimes a way of living but all in all probably the way to forget about the crappy weather.
From that point and onwards Stuey Doyle (Yukina's frontman), Skinny Marky as a drummer and percussionist, Javier Calderon joined the band, starting right away to rehearse and booking some small gigs around Dublin.
Our music is a melting pot of experiences gained in other projects, loads of influences as we have always free room for everyone to participate and deliver with their own soul to this project, this is why is so complicated to label Annoying Cloud.
Catchy songs with strong instrumental music and personal lyrics that come from the good and the bad moments I have lived in my life.
I hope you join us sooner or later.
All the best!
Miriam
