Audrey Bridgeman

Audrey is a singer/songwriter/musician who started playing piano at age 8 and drums at age 14 under the tutelage of her late father, legendary Irish drummer, Noel Bridgeman. She studied drums/percussion in Havana, Cuba with some of the top players from the Afro-Cuban tradition. Audrey's songwriting comes from a rhythmic perspective and is influenced by a range of genres, including soul, blues, country, classical, rock, jazz, reggae and world music. Audrey's debut album, FIRE IN YOUR SOUL, was released on 22nd April 2022 and has been well received gaining airplay here at home and internationally.

Audrey released 'Come Away With Me' in January 2024 and as well as being chosen as Hotpress 'track of the day', the music video for the song was screened and was awarded Best Music Video at the LA Movie Awards on 26th May 2024. The song also won 2 awards in San Diego at the Accolade Global Film Competition and is nominated for best music video at the 15th Underground Cinema Awards in Dublin which will be held on 16th November 2024. An award for original song and an award for music video. 'A Celtic Woman', another original song written by Audrey and guitar player, Gerry Hendrick, was released in June 2024. The video for the song was directed by John Bermingham and shot at Mahon Falls and Dunhill castle ruins, Co. Waterford. 'A Celtic Woman' is a powerful song reflecting the on the time it has taken to reclaim some of the ancient power and wisdom that women held in Celtic times and the importance of connection to our ancestors.

Audrey's latest release 'Highway' is out now (released 21st September) and has a blues/jazz feel with a cool Miles Davis inspired muted trumpet. The song features Gerry Hendrick on guitars & bass, Audrey on vocals & drums, Aidan Kelly on trumpet and Salvatore Urbano on hammond, rhodes and piano. The music video was directed by John Bermingham and is a nod to the silent era with a narrative based on the lyrics.
