In 2022 through 2023 Binmen performed extensively around Ireland with a brief performance in London. After a six-month writing period and reformulation, they have emerged with a new fun and danceable rock style. One which is contemporary and stays true to its roots. This style, self-described as post-junk, is abrasive due to its dancy and whimsical nature taking inspiration from likes of Talking Heads, Sultans of Ping FC, Binmen explore the lighter side of music while remaining thoughtful in their songwriting
Binmen announced the new style by the release of a two song live video shot in Beardfire studios, recording Babycakes and Shopping Local. Then returning to gigging in 2024 at Whelans Ones to Watch in January. Binmen played a busy Night Shift in the Workman's Cellar following the release of their first new single 'Working for Who?'. |The band aim to follow this up with the release of 4 more singles over the coming months.
