Blend Bold

Blend Bold has started with a bit of a bang, including a number of successful releases already on self-start label 'In You Records' with overwhelming support from house heavy-weights including Stefano Ritteri, Louis Anderson, Rich Pinder and Shiba San who dropped Blend's latest release 'F**kin' Heavy' in his Lights On Mix on BBC Radio 1XTRA.

Currently establishing himself as a producer of bass-heavy energetic deep and tech house music, Blend Bold is inspired by the classics of the late 80s and 90s but focused on the future of house music. His tracks are influenced by a range of styles and tastes, most notably his love of reggae and hip hop, throwing a range of his favourite vibes into the production mix to blend up bold-statement peak-hour floor hoppers.

An artist and graphic designer turned music producer, Blend Bold has always been the creative type. Drawing on skills and processes picked up at design college, he looks at music like he does any creative project and sees strong overlapping themes and principles within visual art and music. He remarks how:

“They’re basically the same thing [design and music], the medium is different, but what's behind it is the same, there’s got to be a message, a concept, and a way of expressing them to an audience. I’m now using sounds to communicate these concepts”
