Broncos

Rock // Belfast, Down

Reaching back to late 90’s/early 2000’s post-hardcore for inspiration, Broncos eschew rose-tinted nostalgic romanticism for joyous reckless abandon. As the indie-dahhhlings of the time Pretty Girls Make Graves crooned ‘do you remember when you could not put it away?’. It’s this sentiment that Broncos bring to their music, the unbridled and uncomplicated joy in making music. Formed as various other projects dissolved or never properly formed for Michael (drums) and Cameron (guitar/backing vocals), it wasn’t until Shane(vocals/bass) joined that Broncos finally took it’s shape. The band found fan and critical acclaim with the release of their debut single 'Erode' released September 2024, which premiered on Amplify with Ailsha on RTE2XM. This was followed up ‘Lights Out’ released in January 2025, a four-minute slice of melodic post-hardcore that recalls the intensity of At The Drive-In while embracing the melodic sensibilities of the likes of Alexisonfire and early 2000's post-hardcore/emo. Both releases caught the sharpened ears of Hot Press, Genuine Irish, First Contact Music, PureM Zine, Blowtorch Records, Uber Rock, Admire Collide, IMRO, Ragged Cast, NuMuze, Chordblossom, RockstarHQ and was selected as a World Exclusive on BBC Across the Line. Following the release of their second single the band embarked on their first Irish tour.
