Cerebella is an artist, singer and songwriter from the southwest of Ireland and living in London.
Raised in a family of Irish traditional musicians, she spent her childhood singing Irish traditional music as well as in every conceivable church choir, local ballad group and pub within a ten-mile radius. Around the age of twelve, she watched an X Factor episode titled 'Motown Week' and had an earth-shattering realisation that soul music existed and she wanted to sing little else for the rest of her life.
In 2020, she began writing her own music and unceremoniously quit a series of jobs before deciding to pursue music full-time. Since then, she has released her debut single in 2023 and her debut album, Self Harm Sex, in 2024. Cerebella's sound draws from a variety of inspirations, ranging from country to soul to gospel to indie pop, culminating in a sound that she describes briefly as ‘pop with a 60’s twist.’
