Chósta (pronounced Coast - ah) is the moniker of Conor Kelly. The Irish electronic producer and artist from the seaside Dublin town of Donabate makes music inspired by his coastal surroundings. Chósta’s music has received airplay from BBC Radio 6, NTS Radio, 98FM and 2FM, as well as attention from Nialler9, The Irish Times, Hot Press, District Magazine, FourFour Magazine, The Point of Everything, GoldenPlec and The Thin Air, amongst others. His music has drawn comparisons to Mount Kimbie, Burial and Leon Vynehall. Early live performances have included support slots for Real Lies, LoneLady, Le Boom and Kid Francescoli in Dublin. In July 2022, he played his biggest show to date, supporting the legendary Caribou in Dublin's Iveagh Gardens. Later that year, he collaborated with celebrated Irish artist Jape on the melancholic and dreamy single 'That Object Spoke To Me'. He was named in Nialler9's 30 Best New Irish Artists 2021, and the Irish Times named him as one of 50 People To Watch in 2023. He released his debut album 'Twilight Transmission' in February 2023.
