David Burke

Pop // Kill, Kildare

David Burke began his musical journey as a busker, playing his way from Dublin to New York to L.A. He has guested with artists including Wallis Bird, Declan O’Rourke, Alabama Three, Mundy, Paddy Casey & the Hot House Flowers.

David recently released his debut album 'Where Colours Swim'. The album reached No.1 in the iTunes Singer/Songwriter charts & was chosen as RTÉ Radio 1's 'Album of the Week'.

The album was recorded between Wales, London and Dublin. Highlights of the recordings include…

• Staying up until the early hours writing music on the same piano Freddie Mercury played during the ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ sessions.
• Being a big fan of Amy Winehouse, he was delighted to record 4 songs with the string orchestrator & players from ‘Back to Black’.
• He had the pleasure of working with producers Roger Bechirian (Elvis Costello, Bell X1) & Adam Kviman (Eagle Eye Cherry – ‘Save Tonight’; Picturehouse – ‘Everybody loves my girl’) & numerous great musicians.

For his album tour, David decided to combine music with adventure! He hopped on his bike & cycled over 2,000km, playing 32 gigs in 32 counties in 32 days.

He is excited about travelling & playing his music to new audiences. In July he plays his first Austrian tour & there are more exciting projects in the pipeline!
