Donal Lucey is a singer-songwriter from Kerry, Ireland. Influenced heavily by modern singer- songwriters Ed Sheeran and Paolo Nutini in particular but also takes inspiration from bands such as Coldplay and The Killers
Donal released his debut single, ‘Another Love Song’, in 2019 and followed up with his second single, ‘Politics of the Heart’, in 2021.
In 2021 Donal was voted Radio Kerry’s ‘New Local Hero’ for the Irish Music Month competition ran with Hot Press. He was one of twenty-five national finalists. Donal was also included in Hot Press’ ‘Hot for 2022’ list and was in their January edition.
Donal has performed as support act for acts such as Wild Youth, Róisín O and Paddy Casey in venues such as The INEC, Mike The Pies, Kavanaghs and The Grand Social. Donal also featured on the line-up for KFest 2022 in Kerry, Ireland.
Donal released his debut E.P. ‘Untitled’ in 2023 and followed it up with his first two headline concerts in Cork City and his hometown Killarney.
