Drying Weather

Formed in late 2019, Drying Weather is a four piece alternative rock band from Dublin. Frank plays electric guitar, Conor plays drums, and Barry and Dónal both sing and swap between acoustic guitar and bass.

A Family Meal, the long-awaited debut album, was released on their own Grand Stretch Records imprint on 14 March 2025. To celebrate, the band joined forces with Berlin business rockers CORP. for a co-headline tour of Ireland taking in Bray, Cork, Dingle and Tullamore. Helmed by the band’s longtime producer Eoin Whitfield, best known as one quarter of beloved instrumental band Enemies, A Family Meal represents a critical new step in the band’s evolution; a cohesive 38-minute journey through multiple styles and genres, drenched in overdriven acoustic guitar, fuzz bass and rich pop harmonies. The record is, as ever, steeped in the four's love for the timeless sound of the 1990s alt rock and Midwest emo.

In 2023 the band represented East Coast FM during Hot Press/IBI's Irish Music Month, and in 2024 joined forces with Wexford rock trio Foot Squeaker for the Ubh Bhriste Tour of Ireland. Overseas shows have included Berlin and London, and the band continues to hone their craft on the live circuit at home and abroad. Their music has been heard on national and international airwaves, drawing praise from Kellii Scott (Failure), Jordon Zadorozny (Blinker the Star), Ken Doyle (Bagatelle), Hot Press, The Goo, John Barker and Kieran McGuinness.
