Eduardo Castillo is a songwriter, composer/arranger and self-release artist and producer working withing the Latin genre.
Eduardo is from Peru and was introduced to music as early as in primary and secondary school followed by Andean music artists. Later in his early 20s he formed a 5 musicians ensembled where he had the chance to write, compose and direct it. His early compositions have been featured in diverse local and regional competitions, and gigs.
He has found a very special way to handle the different styles characteristic of the most notorious musical genres of Latin music, such as Cumbia, Bolero, Salsa, Cha Cha, Bachata, etc., which also demand a different pace and vocal styles.
In Dublin, Ireland Eduardo has had the privilege to be the manager for late Mr. Danilo Karell, Composer/Director and founder of "Sabor Cubano" Salsa band, and "Manu and the Latino House" based in Cork. This brought him to get to know and to initiate a friendship with the likes of the famous international Don Pancho Terry (Eladio Terry), Evelio Galan, Cuco Castellanos and many others important Cuban artists. All of them have been like a music conservatory about the essence of Afro-Latin Music.
One of his achievements in 2024 has been the creation of "La Banda del Sur" of which he is the director, and with which he has just produced 4 songs in November 2023. Now he is working on the promotion of his music and in conversations with a Salsa dance director in Dublin to produce two more music videos.
