Euan Lindsay is a 21 year old multi-instrumentalist musician.
Hailing from Cork, Lindsay’s music is proudly Irish with a distinct voice and Irish frame of reference. However, the Southerner’s music pulls heavily from a wide reach of genres. Elements of disco, house, soul and hip-hop can all be heard throughout the artist’s first work.
His first E.P "You, Boy" was recorded over a 6 month period by the artist through a turbulent time. Themes of loss, illness and self-uncertainty are prevalent throughout the project, with a distinct sense of Irish irony and self-mockery.
Perhaps this is most visible on the E.Ps single “Ur Smile”. The song is a guitar driven, uptempo disco number with dark and self-ironic imagery making up the lyrical content.
2020 has been an undoubtedly strange year and with traditional live music events up in the air and an unknown musical future ahead of us, the conventional growth period for a musician has changed. However, it can be vehemently agreed that forward moving development is a certainty for this young artist.
