Extravision
Irish post-punk trio Extravision bring powerful vocal harmonies that sit atop a wall of shredding guitar and pumping rhythms - musing on loss, longing, frustration and feminine rage in the modern age. Extravision features members of Sissy (Art For Blind), Surge (Sjakk Matt Plater), September Girls (Fortuna Pop!) and Grave Goods (Tulle Collective).
In 2022, their single They Don’t Know was featured on Nialler9’s ‘Dublin is Sound’ vinyl release which was launched with a live performance in Lost Lane, Dublin. This record is a compilation featuring Gemma Dunleavy, Junior Brother and Soulé. In 2020, their song Fire was included on ‘A Litany of Failures Vol.3’ - a compilation record featuring Irish acts like Silverbacks and Junk Drawer. Their song Don’t Wanna Be Here was included on the historic ‘Karate Club LP’, which celebrated the 10 year anniversary of the autonomous punk space in Dublin. Extravision’s self-titled demo was released in August 2018 on Art For Blind Records. In December 2022, they released their second EP, Land of a Thousand Unwelcome Advances which was produced by Daniel Fox (Gilla Band).
Extravision made their post-pandemic return to the stage in 2022, headlining Spilt Milk Festival in The Model, Sligo and playing Glasgow’s Pop Mutations Festival 2022. They have played support to Washington D.C. based Priests (Don Giovanni Records), UK black feminist punks Big Joanie (Kill Rock Stars), Australian indie band Terry (Upset the Rhythm) and Canadian punk legends F*cked Up (Merge Records). Extravision’s other Irish festival performances include: Body & Soul Festival 2019; It Takes a Village 2019; Quarter Block Party 2019; Women's Christmas Festival, 2020 and Bent Fest 2017 (Queer music festival, London).
