FionnBarra

Born in Macroom Co.Cork, FionnBarra is a punk poet and actor with a debut album 'Hideous Human Angel' already under his belt!! Released in May 2008 at the Firkin Crane Theatre in Shandon, Cork, the cd met with a local rapturous reception before FionnBarra traveled to New York where his songs were received enthusiastically!! He has had much radioplay on Radio na Gaelthachta, Cork 96 and 103fm County Sound as well as supporting local singer songwriters such as John Spillane and Jimmy Crowley!

Bucking against the current trend of fey singer songwriters, FionnBarra seeks to inject an individualistic restless punk rock spirit on the otherwise shy and retiring world of Irish folk; a cross between Pecker Dunne and John Lydon, intellect and passion collide in his tunes. Rough raw and honest, FionnBarra was last seen in the Classik Attak musical play Hoodwinked, written and directed by Helen Kavanagh Ronan where he acted and wrote four songs!!! It debuted at the illustrious Pavilion Venue in Cork and enjoyed a brief stint at The Button Factory. He is currently working on a new album
