From the heart of Blanchardstown, Flynn Johnson emerges as a commanding presence in Irish Hip-Hop, weaving narratives that capture the raw essence of Dublin life. His journey from a precocious youth, channelling his experiences through rap, to a formidable voice in the Irish music scene, is marked by raw, unfiltered storytelling. His early engagement with literature and realism has significantly shaped his lyrical style, characterised by gritty honesty and profound societal insight.

Under the mentorship of producer ROC, Flynn's artistry found a new dimension. Their collaboration led to the release of the debut EP In The Meantime in 2015, a project that showcased Flynn's versatile lyricism against ROC's eclectic production. The EP received critical acclaim and laid a solid foundation for their musical journey. Their track "Man Cub" from ROC's NINETYNINE beat collection became a cornerstone of Irish Hip-Hop, hailed as a “cult classic” by District Magazine.

Flynn's ability to adapt across various musical backdrops is evident in his collaborations with producers like Odd Numbers and Bitter Rocc. His eagerly awaited debut album, set for a late 2024 release, is described by Flynn as "a love letter to the estate and a thank-you note for the lessons it taught me." This album is expected to further showcase the scope of his artistry and depth.

Since signing with Golden Éire Records in 2023, alongside talents like Wallfella and Odd Numbers, Flynn's trajectory has soared, earning him a spot on Spotify's 'Best of Fresh Éire 2023' playlist. His performance is a blend of “philosophical rhymes and introspective storytelling” (Dope Hip Hop), captivating audiences and cementing his role as a poignant voice of his generation. As Flynn continues to tackle challenging themes with finesse and depth, he stands as a compelling storyteller, shaping the narrative of modern-day Ireland through his music.
