Fresco Future are a young band hailing originally from Newbridge, Co. Kildare. School friends Cormac Dowdall, Dillan Hughes and Evan Lynch began playing together as the band for their school show. After this they continued playing together under the moniker of Room 25, but then decided to go down the route of writing, playing and recording their own music under the name of Fresco Future. The name originated from bassist Evan Lynch seeing the words 'The Fresco Future' spray painted on a wall in a housing estate in Newbridge. Fresco Future's first gig was as support to the Dublin pop legends of Pugwash in Whelan's, Dublin, and have since played gigs in other venues across the city with bands such as Young Earth, The Girl Talk, and The Grunts. The band's sound has been described as 'a more soulful Supergrass' while others have drawn comparisons with bands such as The Strokes, Mac Demarco, and Arctic Monkeys. Fresco Future released their debut double A-side single 'Morning Mourning / Maybe Ellie' in March 2017.
