What happens when two children of con artists make an exhilarating electronic pop concept album about their backgrounds?

Multi-instrumentalist Hans Atheist Anderson’s father was a flamboyantly charming old-school con-man who could convince the most miserly tightwad that they really had to hand their their money over to him to achieve ultimate happiness.

Fellow band-member and multi-instrumentalist, Patti Du Maurier is also the daughter of sextortionist scam artist parents who blackmailed people via email, until they were both imprisoned on multiple counts.

Hans and Patti initially bonded over the similarities in their upbringings and this lead them to form Harpsikord. They and the rest of their band of international misfits (multi-instrumentalist Frankie Liquorice and multi-instrumentalist Sam Hood) aim to make exciting, bewildering, brain dazzling music that takes controls of your limbs.

Although they are a band of the world, they are currently based in Dublin, Ireland. Their second album, ‘Slippery Creatures’ explores this world of confidence tricksters and online scams from the point of view of the scammer.
