If the year is 2009, the band is most certainly HENPARTY.
Formed from the ashes of the recently deceased and very much missed Twenty Tanks Say Thanks and ball-rock champions Savage Arm, Henparty now begin their exciting voyage into the rock and roll scene.
Bonding on a love of short attention spans and the work of obscure Dutch post-punk combo The Sit, Omar Plastic and Bear McFlurry began recording earlier this year. In all, 68 tracks were finished, with the finest of the bunch making their way onto the forthcoming collection entitled LADS.
Bringing the blob-rock guitar chops and electrifying ride cymbal work of their previous bands to a whole new level, LADS is one not to be missed, or indeed subsequently forgotten about.
The LP will be preceded with a single, the controversial Woody Harrelson After Party, despite several legal obstacles.
Upcoming dates will soon be announced. A performance at the 2009 'Tribute Mit Zer Sit' festival in Antwerp in schedule for October. Irish dates will follow soon after.
