James Keegan

Raised in a triumphant upbringing in the Northside of Cork City, James Keegan is a folk/pop artist that has been captivating audiences all over Ireland, the UK and Europe. It all began in 2023 at Whelans Ones to Watch, and having gigged ravenously since then James has built a loyal following, which led to 3 of his 4 singles charting at No.1 in the Irish iTunes Charts. Having gained praise from notable Irish artists such as Damien Dempsey, the 21 year old singer-songwriter has been honing his craft week in week out and has earned his credit as a prolific grafter. James’ music has been featured in various creditable playlists such as “Ones to Watch” by Live Nation and “New Irish Songs to hear this week” by Hot Press Magazine.
James is strategically waiting on the release of his debut E.P. which is due to release sometime in the summer of 2025. Recorded with Christian Best of Monique Studios, James is backed by Mick Flannery's band and the EP can be described as a blend of “atmospheric folk/pop.”
Fresh from a year of headline gigs in DeBarras Folk Club, Little Whelans and his biggest shows to date playing two headlines in Cyprus Avenue this year alone, James is now getting ready for a stint of festivals next year along with a lengthy tour of Europe, with more headline gigs across Ireland on the horizon and a tour as part of Irish band Fire and Water touring across the length and breath of the USA.
