JaVill’s unique sound and captivating performances have not gone unnoticed. With their unforgettable closing performance of 2022 at the bello bar, Hot Press magazine remarked, “Alternative rock outfit JaVill followed suit, ebbing, and flowing between soft industrial rhythms and hooks emblematic of some of the best indie stadium anthems. With passion that could easily blow the roof off the basement venue, they are looking to be one of the most promising acts of the line-up. With a select few singles out and a serious stage presence, they are definitely an act to keep a close eye on.”
After reforming in 2021, JaVill wasted no time making their mark on the Irish music scene. They burst onto the stage in February 2022, supporting Sion Hill at the Workman’s Club. Just a month later they released their debut single, “Lifted”, which immediately garnered attention for its infectious vocal melody and powerful guitar driven sound.
Throughout 2022, JaVill continued to make waves with the release of three more singles. Their performances on the live circuit left a lasting impression on audiences, culminating in a sold-out headline show at Whelan’s main room on November 5th, 2022. This year has seen shows in Whelans, The Soundhouse, The Grand Social and the band playing their first festival at Forbidden Fruit.
