Hello. I'm John Vanek.

Originally from London in England I now live in Derry in northern Ireland - Music City!

I am a songwriter, slide guitarist, keyboard, harmonica player and vocalist. I have done many years busking and performing both in England and Ireland. I love busking on Derry's Peace Bridge on a sunny day.

I wrote the song 'Legenderry Sky' as a lovesong to the town of Derry, a place I find most inspiring.

My influences are all the great songwriters - Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Paddy Nash as well as soul music, motown, great folk like Nick Drake and many more influences.
