Dirty beats, filthy bass, searing guitars, and the voice of a pissed-off angel. Laminate Reno are a three-piece based in Limerick, playing what they call Mechno, a high - energy hybrid of post-rock, jungle, and rave. The members are Sí, on vocals and synth, Edel on bass, and Don on guitars and programming. All three used to play in a electronica unit called end/fin/dead, and Sí is well-known around Limerick for her beautiful solo shows with harp and piano, and is currently working on her first solo album, recorded and produced by Fergal Lawlor (The Cranberries). The band are currently recording their first demo, playing as many gigs as possible, and writing new material. Their live shows have been described as 'like watching Run Lola Run at double speed', and they have played with such acts as Creeping Nobodies, Ten Past Seven, Kyon, Elk and Hooray For Humans.
