Cameroonian singer/songwriter and Sligo resident Mabel Chah, who launches her EP Sunday, June 30th, will be performing her latest release on August 30th at the Model Art Gallery in Sligo.
Her solo single ‘Zero to Hero’ was released on social media on April 24th 2019 and is the first of five songs that make up the EP collection which comes out later this week. Chah has written ‘Zero to Hero,’ as a powerful anthem of self-belief and empowerment set against colorful soundscape of bass and drums.
She will perform all five songs from the EP on August 30th 2019 at 8pm in The Model Art Sligo.
A long-time member of Sligo Gospel Choir, Chah previously came to international attention with Cameroonian hip-hop band BAAM.
Since arriving in Ireland in 2013, music has enabled Chah to find her way in a strange new home and meet like-minded members of the community that share her passion for performance and singing.
Her latest video, set to be released soon, is a true Sligo production and community initiative. The EP was recorded in Sligo’s Electric Eye Studio.
