hey there.
my name is m alexander, and I’m a 31 year old singer songwriter from belfast, ireland.
i was once described as a ‘poprockfolk chameleon’ and the moniker as somewhat stuck.
i love telling stories, matching them to whatever genre or vibe i think fits that particular song best.
i’ve a wide variety of influences and styles, but i would probably compare myself to piano-centric artists like tom odell, father john misty and ben folds, with a bit of billy joel and vampire weekend thrown in for good measure.
i’m pretty new to the game but i’ve been slowly building up a live profile at artist showcases around belfast and north down, as well as supporting some wickedly talented local artists such as ria timkin and tom gee band.
my first ep, ‘social event of the year’, is hopefully dropping in april/may 2025 and sees me experimenting with different styles and telling a wide range of stories- life, love, death and all that’s in between.
