Marie Keane

Marie Keane is a singer-songwriter with eclectic themes, from environmental protection to Motown influenced love tunes. For 25 years she's performed in various blues, soul and jazz ensembles. From the main stage in the Cork Jazz Festival to performing traditionally inspired tunes in the Botanical Gardens, her music crosses more than a few divides. In Jan 2023, Marie was nominated Best Female Artist by WigWam Radio in the UK.

Her second studio album 'MNÁ' was written throughout the lock-downs. This rock, blues & soul infused concept album explores weaving themes of femininity from lived experience. Her inaugural album 'Russian Doll' was the planting of this seed. Launched to a sell out show in the main room at the Workman's Club in 2023 'MNÁ' a welcome release and a return to the stage.

Her debut album ‘Russian Doll’ is a mix of folk, blues and soul with subtle classical and traditional undertones. The release of Russian Doll followed on from it’s launch to a packed out Sugar Club performance of the full album in 2019. Russian Doll is available on vinyl & CD in Tower Records, selected Golden Discs stores and independent record stores in Dublin, Kildare, Athlone, Cork and Galway and record shops throughout the country, supporting Irish music.
