Midweek Crisis are a 4 piece indie / rock / punk band of grown up teenagers from the borderlands of Dundalk Ireland, formed in 2019 through a shared love of diverse music. Their sound is a unique blend of their 80s and 90s influences and post-punk sensibilities, telling stories of failure and triumph with a big heart and a healthy lack of respect for the absurdity of our times.
The band have played live shows in venues in Dundalk and Dublin, Ireland including The Spirit Store and Fibber Magees, recorded a series of promotional videos with The Lockup Studio Dundalk and released a first batch of singles. The band have recorded the songs for their debut album for release in 2025.
The bands latest single Dundalk Deadbeat was released on 23rd August 2024. Dundalk Deadbeat is a raw expression of disillusionment, questioning the purpose of existence within a seemingly meaningless world. With a choppy, aggressive rhythm and raw vocals, it captures the suffocating feeling of being trapped in a small town until finally the music builds into a punk fuelled escape filled with anger and acceptance.
Midweek Crisis are Gus Cullen, Gerry Faulkner, Andrew Clarke and Elliott Lusk.
