Neptune City
In the winter of 2008, Simon Gibson (Vocals, Guitars) Liam Good (Bass) and Mark Ward (Keyboards), being housemates and long term amigos, conceived the idea of starting a band (who hasn't?). With Mark and Liam having never played an instrument before and Simon with some band experience, it was a somewhat 'bumpy' start.
They soon recruited guitarist Sean Kinsella (Vocals, Guitars) after a drunken conversation in a pub, and with Sean's previous gig experience it helped get things moving! Damien Maher (Drums) was soon behind the drum kit as he was a workmate of Liam and the only drummer any of them knew. Their common appreciation for honest, hardworking artistry and their genuine love for music secured a strong and fluent bond between them.
With the quintet of Neptune City now assembled the band started playing original material which has evolved and grown over time into the high energy set performed by the band today. The band is currently in the process of recording their first EP in “Pulse Recording Studios” and this is on course to be released in early June.
