Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Colm O'Brien has been steeped in music for his whole life.
He began playing piano by ear as a child, and picked up the guitar at 14, diving into garage rock and folk music. He quickly discovered a passion for songwriting, as a channel to express the otherwise difficult emotions and thoughts of his adolescence.
He is an alumnus of the prestigious Coláiste Stiofain Naofa in Cork City, where he spent 2 years. He then entered the Cork School of Music BAPM degree, and is about to enter his final year.
He has performed at Quarter Block Party alongside Landless and Anna Mieke, as well as the numerous CSN Live 'N Gigging concerts that were put on in his 2 years there, playing bass, guitar, drums and singing as well. He won CSM battle of the bands 2019 with his two piece band Ora Fantoma, and received great local acclaim in the Cork City Alt Rock/Metal scene.
He has released an album of folk material, entitled Reflection, available at
