Singer-songwriter // Maynooth, Kildare

Nív is a singer songwriter hailing from Kildare, based in Dublin. This year, Nív was awarded the prestigious ‘Dermot Kennedy BIMM Scholarship’ and is currently studying songwriting at BIMM University, Dublin.
Nív began her solo career in 2020, after gaining experience as lead singer in a band called ‘District Daze’ performing at festivals like Vantastival and Electric Picnic and venues like The Sugar Club and Whelans. Nív’s solo career has had growing success; releasing three singles on all platforms, gaining over 48k Spotify streams and 25k new listeners across 73 countries.

Nív sold out her first Single Launch in The Workman’s Club for her single “Silly Voices’ and was given the opportunity to perform on Hotpress Magazine’s “Lockdown Sessions.
This single was chosen to be added to RTE Radio 1’s Recommends List. Her latest single ‘Moonlight’ was chosen as Hotpress Magazine’s Track of the Day. She was also shortlisted for Four Star Pizza’s Star Nation Competition as a Leinster Provincial Winner.
Her latest release ‘Home’ was also premiered on Hotpress Magazine’s website.

In 2022, Nív was awarded a Fulbright scholarship and spent the year working, travelling and using her music to spread Irish culture in North Carolina and across the United States. Nív gained a new American audience and during this year, Nív held a ticketed concert at a venue of 250 people in Davidson Davie College North Carolina and the event sold out.
Nív’s music has been revered by many music blogs including Buzz.ie, Eirewave, Indiebuddie, Goddamn!, Indie Music Center and Curious For Music.
Her music is inspired by singer songwriters such as Damien Rice, The Cranberries and Joni Mitchell with influences from Irish traditional music and folk songs.

Nív is currently working on her debut EP.
