Paul Doran is an Irish singer-songwriter who became widely known in the 1986 for co-writing ‘Make it Work’ with Christy Moore for the Self-Aid concert. He had been performing in Dublin for several years and gaining a reputation as an up and coming songwriter and session singer. After Self-Aid he continued performing on the smaller stages both here and abroad in many different lineups

He self released his debut album Sand in 2018 on which he is joined by some of Irelands top musicians.
‘That Was My Heart’, one of two singles released from the album, featured on the RTE Radio 1 Recommends list.
In 2020 he released the first 2 tracks from an album collaboration with Italian musicians

He is now working on releasing the rest of the album together with other solo material written during the pandemic
Paul continues to write and perform and, over the years, has written several albums worth of material which he is focused on releasing and promoting.
