Peter McMahon

Hey! I’m Peter McMahon, and I’m a singer-songwriter/composer based both in Northern Ireland and the Republic! I write a lot of different music for various cool projects, ranging from my own intimate indie-folksy songs, to musicals and sound design for theatre!

My most recent adventures include:

Releasing my first acoustic EP of my solo music called “CUPBOARD CLEARING”, which will be coming out on the 29th of March featuring 6 older songs of mine. In celebration of this, I held an intimate gig in the Workmans Cellar recently with my live band featuring Siofra Mauerhofer on Acoustic Guitar and Flute, and Cait Fleming on Violin.

A radio musical I wrote and recorded last year, “BREAKFAST”, is now nominated for the Irish Student Drama Awards down in Cork. I managed to win an Award two years prior in Galway for my Songwriting and Production on the comedic show “MOTHMAN: THE MUSICAL”.

Getting the opportunity to conduct the Dublin-based Campanile consort, a contemporary student choir in Trinity College Dublin, performing works by composers like Eric Whitacre and Frank Tichelli
