PILGRIM Blues are a Dublin based band with the official line up finally established in February 2013. Prior to that singer and harmonica player David Greene answered an advert placed by guitarist Graham Stewart in 2010. This duo became the foundation of the band and the pair immersed themselves in creating original based blues music while sharing interests in blues artists such as Taj Mahal, Son House, William Clarke etc. and all matters of the blues genre. The pair played as a duo around various haunts in the city honing their sound. With various members joining the ranks throughout the bands foundation the official line-up wasn’t confirmed until the arrival of Graham Ferris on drums and Ciaran Melia on bass. With this addition and a no-frills approach the music has evolved to encompass genres such as soul and funk. The band now delivers well crafted original based blues music as well as powerful renditions of old classics. PILGRIM have played the Harvest time blues festival, Blackstairs blues festival, Clonmel junction festival and are already booked to play the 7 Hills blues festival in Armagh and also the Limavady jazz& blues festival later this year.
