Pilgrim St Bio
Strongly influenced by Bruce Springsteen's 'Seeger Sessions', Pilgrim St
formed to bring these tunes to the live venues of Navan and surrounding
areas but since those initial gigs they have spread their wings both in their
music and geographically. With songs ranging from Bluegrass, Old Time
Country, Folk and their own original songs they have played some high profile
gigs including Electric Picnic and Vicar street ( Declan O Rourke ) in 2014.
July 2015 saw the release of their debut E.P. Welcome to Pilgrim St,
recorded live in a one day session in Crookedwood Studios, Slane., featuring
the wide range of musical styles the band possess in five original songs.
Band members include members of Navan band Trigger and the Hitmen,
Peader Farrelly ( Guitar, Vocals ), Richie Farrelly ( Guitar, Vocals ), Eoin
McDonnell ( Mandolin, Vocals ) and Francis McGinn ( Bass ),
Singer/Songwriter Eugene Donegan ( Banjo, Vocals ), Mark Lynch ( Dobro )
and Cathal McQuaid ( Fiddle ).
