Polaroid 85

Polaroid 85 are a London based 7-piece band led by singer-producer Neeta Sarl. They make music which fuses down tempo / electronica with classical, folk, & world rhythms. With influences of drum and bass, post-dubstep and broken beat added to the mix, the music is truly captivating and original.

Often compared to bands such as Massive Attack, Bonobo, Portishead and Zero 7, on record the music is an epically chilled hybrid of strings, wind, brass, beats & synths.

Previously going under ‘Neeta’, the project have had a number of great achievements so far, including gaining recognition from BBC DJ’s Tom Robinson (BBC 6Music) and Bobby Friction (BBC Asian Network & Radio 1); both who have played several tracks on their shows. Interest led to an invite to record a 3 track session at the legendary BBC Maida Vale studios which was aired on both BBC Asian Network and BBC 6Music respectively.

The band are planning to release a second EP in May 2012, and have interest from several labels to release it.
