Readers Wives are :
Niall James Holohan & co.
Readers Wives (formed in Dublin in 2008) are an independent rock band named after a British soft-core pornographic magazine. Their self titled debut album, released in 2009 received widespread critical acclaim & set the platform for the band to get out on the road & start building it's audience in the UK & Ireland.
Over the course of the past two years & over 150 live shows in all manner of locations, from prisons to penthouses, the Wives have steadily built a following while gently releasing free EPs & random bootlegs on their own label (Megafone) & through it's affiliates in the UK & Europe.
After a searing performance at this year's Oxegen which BBC Across The Line put on a par with Weezer, Two Door Cinema Club & The Strokes, Readers Wives are back with their new single 'Wasted Youth' taken from their second full length album titled 'Rachel's Apartment' released on Megafone in July.
Reader's Wives will play Roisin Dubh on September 3rd, Arthur's Day in Dublin on September 22nd & will spend the next three month travelling & playing headliners in Dublin, Belfast, the UK & around Europe.
