With the release of Rex Arcums’s debut album “Origins” in 2022, Rex Arcum had tracks featured on several Spotify editorial playlists including Misfits 2.0, New Music Friday U.K., Alternative Ireland and Shockwave. “Origins” also saw Rex make his international collaborations with Nashville’s MNERVA on “Owe It To Myself”, London’s Keeper on “QUALITY QUANTITY and Ohio’s Brody McKeegan (Nothing Nowhere, Wicca Phase Springs Eternal, Midwxst, Kellin Quinn) working as the project’s mix engineer. These are the first of many collaborators Rex has met through his own curated Spotify playlist “Rap Rock Genre Benders”. “Origins” currently has over 200,000 Spotify streams.

In early 2023, Rex Arcum teamed up with fellow Cork based artist Syano to release a 4 track collaborative EP “COMPOUND”. “A release that will surely propel Rex and Syano to the forefront of Ireland’s budding music scene” - Notion. Substantially growing Rex’s Irish fanbase with placements on Red FM, RTE.ie, Nialler 9, Golden Plec and more. The EP’s lead single “LOTTO BOY” had a sold out release party in Cork’s Fred Zeppelin’s and was featured on Spotify’s Misfits 2.0 and is slated as “some of the best hip-hop the country has to offer” by Mesmerised. COMPOUND currently has over 100,000 online streams.
Kicking off 2024 with his newly developed sound featuring more heavy riffs and confident vocals fuelled by unfiltered aggression and emotion, Rex Arcum released “Corruption’s Last Victim” in January 2024.

As of March 2024, “Corruption’s Last Victim” has exceeded 185,000 TikTok views, 1,000 music video views and 20,000 Spotify streams. The track was also featured on Music Crowns, DiscoverNu, Jammerzine, Nialler9, Spotify’s Misfits 2.0 and more.

Sharing the stage with drummer Ciaran Nevin, bassist Chris La Motte and newly joined guitarist Mia Brophy, Rex Arcum is quickly becoming known for his explosive and memorable live shows. Since his live debut at Special Rap Showcase in Legends, Edinburgh, Rex Arcum has played numerous shows to successfully engage both rap/hip-hop and rock/metal audiences. Highlights include Cork Rising 2023 showcase in Cyprus Avenue - Cork, Outkastz in The Workman’s - Dublin, a sold out show with Idle Discourse at The Cellar Bar, Galway and 2 sold out headline shows at Fred Zeppelin’s, Cork. A live perfomance video is available on my Breaking Tunes page, as well as YouTube. The band uses a closed in ear monitor system, cutting sound-check time in half. We also have our own sound engineer when necessary to streamline set-up for larger showcases/festivals.
