Rory Sweeney is an artist and music producer based in Dublin. At only 25, Rory is one of the countries most sought after producers, known for his eclectic, giddy and atmospheric style of music and emmersive live sets.
Rising to prominence in the Irish and UK Electronic and Hip-Hop scenes over the past 7 years, Rory is one of Ireland’s most lauded and respected artists, garnering a cult following for his high quality and diverse outputs. Be it creating folk-electronica in 'Hungry Ghost' with Pippa Moloney, rave ready anthems like '150K' & 'Come Around' with SLOUCHO, or Co-Producing the RTÉ Choice Choice Prize nominated 'What Was The Question?' with Dublin rapper Curtisy, Rorys talent for sound design is not tied to a genre, but defines the genres that he works in, pushing & shaping the limits of Irish sound.
His influence has led to Rory working with prominent artists such as SELLO, New Jackson (David Kitt), Tony Bontana & Kojaque, and being co-signed by artists and producers like Machine Girl, Objekt, Maria Somerville and Shampain.
Rory's unique style of developing sound continues to grow his reputation beyond Ireland, being selected as AVA Festival Producer Of The Year 2023-2024, and co-founding the Irish/US experimental rave collective and label 'Bitten Twice', which was created by a group of producers to champion "strange sounds and unconventional rhythms".
After making history in 2024 by releasing the highly acclaimed first of its kind 'all-Ireland' Hip-Hip collaborative album 'Irish Hash Mafia' under the pseudonym Carlos Danger, which featured 10 diverse MCs from across the country, Rory has been dedicating time at a residency at the RCC in Letterkenny to develop a body of electronic music, and is set to release his next album in late 2025.
"Undoubtedly one of the most exciting producers to emerge from Ireland in the last few years, Rory’s sound is untameable; floating anywhere between autotuned hyper-pop, grime, footwork and hardcore" - Plain Sailing Belfast
“Rory Sweeney has been at the forefront of some of the most exciting sounds to emerge from the capital in recent times, drawing on hip hop, house, rave and footwork influences when creating his sometimes uncategorizable, energetic productions.” Peter Curtin, All City
