A former member of the Dublin Gospel Choir, 2009 saw Irish born singer/songwriter Padraig Rushe, emerge from the shadows of the Irish Music Scene, with the release of his debut solo single "Gonna be a Change” and subsequent album‘Greyworld’, which has been play listed and has received extensive airplay on national and local radio Nationwide. In addition to radio Padraig’s knack for live performance has seen his music televised nationally on RTE1, RTE2,TG4, MTV1, MTV Hits & TMF.

A seasoned performer and published songwriter, Rushe spent 6 years honing his craft as a former soloist with the renowned Dublin Gospel Choir, for whom he also wrote and arranged music. Over the last eight years he has released 3 albums with the group, performed at major music festivals such as The Electric Picnic & Oxygen and sung with some of the biggest names in Irish and International music including the late James Brown, Damien Rice, Declan O’Rouke, Glen Hansard, Paddy Casey, Lisa Hannigan, Nitin Sawhney, Paul Noonan (BellX1) and The Hot House Flowers.

With a distinctive voice that critics have compared to Luther Van Dross, Nick Drake, Jeff Buckley, The Script and Bill Withers, Rushe’s music moves effortlessly between genres while maintaining a firm rooting in the retro-soul of America, where he spent much of his childhood.
