Shakey was born in wexford in 1986, He grew up in Wexford town, His interest in Rap music started when he was 13 years old. listening to Rap legends such as Notorious BIG, Wu Tang, Nas, Jay-z and Rakim to name a few. His first experience live on stage was with a fellow wexford MC Rob Kelly, at a teenage disco rob was performing at, Shakey started off as a beat boxer, then a when he was 15 he started writing songs. His first own real performance was when he was 17, performing at teenage discos in Wexford and the surrounding areas. When he went to college in Carlow he got his first regular spot as the resident MC of the music factory, Now called The Temple nightclub. This is where he met Ray colclough AKA Coco. The two sparked a good working relationship and have done many gigs since then. Shakey performed in Carlow for a further 3 years honing his live performances, then in February 2007 shakey received his first pieces of recording equipment from his parents as a Christmas gift, A few days later he had his first song on bebo, Called Oh Baby and has been recording ever since. The song got alot of internet attention and Shakey continue to churn out song after song, Shakey released his first mixtape in October, and got great response,entitled "This is me vol.1", he then went onto make the second mixtape entitled "keep on keepin on". This had the hit singles Irish party which entered the Irish charts at no 26 independently. He is currently working on the next album and working with alot of American producers and rappers from all over the globe. Shakey is constantly writing new material and pushing himself as an artist. With one of the most energetic live shows combined with something that hasn't been done before Shakey no doubt will be one of the biggest artists to come out of Ireland.
