Shrink Like Alice

Shrink like Alice are an independent rock band, based in Navan, Co. Meath, Ireland and consisting of frontman Gary Clerkin, Liam Sheridan(Guitar), Greg Halford(Bass) and Ethan McBride(Drums).

Mixing elements of rock, punk and grunge, the group have developed a setlist of frantic and unrestricted original songs that will keep you on your toes from start to finish. The raspy aggressive vocals and fierce rhythm of their single ‘Beside The Last Thing You Think’, pounds your skull with a thrilling assault of mosh ready ferocity (Indie Buddie). On the 21st of October 2022, SLA’s debut album ‘Apple in a Pear Tree’ was released. The concept album derived from personal experience and stories collected in their youth, takes the listener on a path of self-destruction and rebirth while pulling apart social boundaries and highlighting the devastating impact of poor mental health. The 13 track LP was produced, recorded and mixed by themselves in their home studio and then mastered by Fergal Davis.

The original band cut their teeth playing D.I.Y shows around Navan and Dublin with other independent bands and collectives of musicians including themselves to create an imposing stage presence that defined the bands sound early in its conception. Moving forward the group continues to display energetic and unpredictable performances both in studio and on stage. Their punchy, dynamic riffs and mind grabbing lyrics create the sonically diverse sound that is Shrink Like Alice.
