Born in Stockholm, Skull The Pierre now resides in Dublin and has since 2020. Moving to pursue studies in BIMM Dublin, The Skull has quickly become an integral part of the Dublin underground Hip-Hop scene. He has shared the stage with renowned Irish acts like Kojaque, Bricknasty, Malaki, Tebi Rex, Shiv, and more. He’s been featured on the country’s biggest music blogs and radio stations, has enjoyed performances at festivals like Body & Soul and 2000Trees, and was featured on RTÉ’s Sessions From Oblivion. Skull The Pierre supported Asher Roth in The Sound House on the 15th of October and UK Rap-Giants Pete & Bas in a sold-out Button Factory on the 29th of November.
Deeply rooted in Hip-Hop, Skull The Pierre can, if needed, be classified as a rapper and producer. Vinyl crackle and old-school drum sounds he downloaded when he was 16 are consistent throughout his productions. The lush, captivating, and at times unconventional beats are typically accompanied by eccentric, bohemian, and brutally honest lyrics delivered in a style inspired by Wax and Big L. A troubadour and storyteller at heart, Pierre is every bit as inspired by the raps of Action Bronson as by the melodies of Paul McCartney.
The gay rapper's message is crystal clear and consistent throughout all his projects; be yourself and make the world a better place. A true creative, Skull The Pierre is no stranger to going against the grain. Self-discovery is the only goal, and, therefore, his sound, as well as himself, is forever evolving.
Often hysterical and outrageous, and with a penchant for the absurd and outrageous, every project are just as playful as they are insightful. By living his lyrics and by embracing change on a Bowie level, Pierre’s music suggests that everything is meant to be. It doesn’t seek to change the world, rather it explores how we, through laughter, play, change, and honesty, can be bigger fans of it. It suggests how to live.
His larger-than-death persona shines through in both his music and his social media presence. He enjoys food, fasting, making love with chubby men, celibacy, and everything in between.
