Stevie Cliff has served a varied musical apprenticeship. The twenty-something Dublin native has plyed his trade as a drummer, guitarist, keyboard player & singer in various different bands over the past ten years.
After a year spent soaking up the sounds of NYC Stevie returned to Dublin reinvigorated and quickly caught the attention of labels, radio stations and gig promoters alike. A spate of self-produced recordings earnt him a run of appearances opening for many established Irish Acts such as Paddy Casey, Mick Flannery, The 4 of Us, Aslan & Declan O’Rourke.
In 2015 Stevie teamed up with experienced Cork based producer Ciaran O’Shea (Toy Solider, Cycelfly, The Frank & Walters) . The subsequent recordings are much more electronically influenced than Cliff’s own productions and definitely mark a shift in musical direction for the artist.
The Debut EP “Polaroids” was released in 2017 to rave reviews. The collection combines a jerky blend of synths and guitars sprinkled with intelligent lyrics that instantly grab the attention of the listener. The 4 tracks on “Polaroids” have earned the artist comparisons to acts such as Peter Gabriel and Paul Simon. 2018 will see further releases and a follow up EP.
