Supersonic Sylvia

Supersonic Sylvia are a genre defying three piece from Maynooth consisting of vocal duo Shar Dullaghan and Eimear Harrington, and multi-instrumentalist William Dunne. Crafting elements of trip-hop, Irish trad, and 90’s Lilith faire the trio weave a wistful melancholy through their tracks by drawing on influences such as Sinead O’Connor, Portishead, and The Cure, while also embodying the boldness of Veruca Salt, PJ Harvey, and Wednesday. SuperSonic Sylvia channel an aura of rural gothic that is unmistakable in the deployment of Catholic imagery forlornly sprinkled throughout their music.
