Tessio is a singer-songwriter duo from Derry - Jude McCandless and Callum Feeney. They play acoustic guitars, sing close harmonies, write, record and produce their own songs. Their main influences range from Simon and Garfunkel and The Everly Brothers to the La’s. Over the last four years they have performed consistently around Ireland playing sold out gigs. Last year at Stendhal Festival, a gig reviewed in Chordblossom wrote "I was left in awe of the pair as they released a series of subtly effective songs that demonstrated a skill for songwriting way beyond their years." Alongside these gigs they have supported acts such as the Hothouse Flowers, Muireann Bradley, John Francis Flynn, The Henry Girls and played at Other Voices 2024. Their self-titled album was released in December 2024, receiving an inclusion in the ‘Best of 2024’ by Music Republic Magazine. They were also selected as part of the line up to play at the RTE 1 Folk Awards 2025 in Vicar Street, Dublin.
