The New Normal

The New Normal are a four piece punk band based in Belfast/Bangor, Northern Ireland. Formed during the lockdown of 2020, they blend the speed and aggression of skate punk, the attitude and lyrical content of riot grrl and a dash of the melody of early 2000's emo and pop punk.

Over the last few years the band have gigged extensively and are known for usually being the loudest and fastest band playing on any given night but with huge amounts of stage presence and not being afraid to get in the crowd (both figurative and literally). Lyrically the band deal with a lot of the issues facing the post-GFA generation; gender roles and politics, body autonomy and just where the hell do we go from here?

However the goal in their music is not to preach this but more to be a rallying cry (or shout) for others to join.
