The Phoenix Departure

From the fragments of the long expired band that was five piece rock outfit Vasco Junior, The Phoenix Departure formed. Inspired by boredom, a love of music, and with a desire for a creative outlet to escape the drudgery of everyday life, the band holed up in their self renovated industrial unit in West Dublin to focus on the creation of music that would be exciting to play, and infectious to listen to.

From the obvious influences of The Beatles, Stones, Zeppelin, Interpol and The Strokes, to the not so obvious Chemical Brothers, Moby and Blondie, The Phoenix Departure have honed a sound that cuts through crowds and is impossible to ignore.
