Tia Burke is an acclaimed Irish vocalist, songwriter and musician hailing from Kildare.
She has won over sold out crowds at the 3Olymipa Theatre and Electric Picnic with her hypnotic cocktail of charm and haunting vocals – to put it simply, Tia Burke is one to watch.
Her music career began at the tender age of 14, playing a range of local events and since then, her star has been on the rise. At 16, Tia was offered the opportunity to travel to the US to perform at the Lexington 4th of July Festival.
Since then, with original tracks under her belt and a fire in her belly for performing, she has garnered several busking awards - Newbridge Junefest, The Edenderry Festival and most recently, the Three for all Music City Stages, resulting in selection by critically-acclaimed UK artist Self-Esteem to open her sold out show at the 3Olympia in February 2023.
Her many early career accomplishments include playing Electric Picnic, supporting Luka Bloom (Red Hot Music Club – Fallons) and sharing the stage with one of her idols, Nick Cave in what she jokingly refers to as her “Courtney Cox moment”. She has also performed at some of Dublin’s most iconic venues including The Grand Social, Whelan’s, Fibbers and The Underground.
Primary song -writing influences include Kate Bush, Nick Cave, PJ Harvey and Aurora but Tia’s extensive vocal range compares with modern greats such as Florence Welch, Dolores Riordan and Miley Cyrus.
Tia has been a regular busker on Dublin’s Grafton Street scene for a number of years and also plays at the Maynooth Students Union (where she currently is in her final year of study).
As a recognised emerging talent, Tia features regularly in Hot Press, 3 Mobile, VIP magazine online and regional media outlets.
Her debut single ‘Spinning in Circles' is available on Spotify and all major music streaming services.
