Uisce Jones

Folk // Galway, Galway // He/him

Uisce Jones is an indie folk artist from the rural countryside of the west of Ireland, where he grew up surrounded by some of Ireland’s last remaining oak forests. Getting lost in the woods and recording all of his work in a small remote cabin, Uisce began creating songs inspired by early childhood memories and the experience of coming of age in the modern world. Influenced by the intimate romantic storytelling of Leonard Cohen as well as contemporary folk artists Sufjan Stevens, Phoebe Bridgers, and fellow Irish musician Fionn Regan, Uisce has developed a unique sound that blends atmospheric textures with the emotional rawness of traditional folk storytelling.

His music is both intimate and expansive, equally at home in a small, dimly lit room or on a festival stage, where his energy and passion can lift a crowd. Uisce Jones is carving out his own path, creating folk music that feels timeless yet distinctly modern. Having made significant strides in his musical career, recording at the iconic Windmill Lane Studios, where legends of the music industry have laid down their tracks. His live performances have taken him across the country, with standout shows on stages in Dublin, Galway and even Spain, showcasing his captivating presence as both a solo artist and with a full band. In Dublin, Uisce has built a strong following, selling out notable venues and creating unforgettable experiences with his energetic, emotionally-charged performances that resonate deeply with audiences.

Now Uisce embarks towards releasing a new set of singles, marking a highly personal and atmospheric stage in his life. These tracks were recorded and produced in an old wooden cabin in Galway, capturing the space's raw, organic and familiar feel. The intimate atmosphere enabled Uisce to fully immerse himself in his songwriting, resulting in songs that are reflective of the experience of moving to Dublin City and the emotional connection to growing up in a free environment back in Galway. These new recordings highlight his unique blend of folk authenticity and ambient soundscapes, providing insight into his maturing artistry. The first single 'Colour of You' is set to release early next year.
