Urban Legends

Folk-horror aficionados Urban Legends combine traditional elements of Irish stroytelling with gritty modern tales of misfortune and terror through the medium of alt-folk. Their first E.P. "The Horror, The Horror..." was released in April 2013.

Conceived in late 2011 by Dublin natives Steve Flynn and Liam Tyrrell, the collective's witty repertoire takes listeners on an unsettling journey through some of society's best known cautionary tales. From petrified babysitters to illicit organ removal, Urban Legends serve their stark warnings with a hefty dose of black humour. Their mission, put simply, is to further educate people about the hidden menaces that lie in wait throughout everyday life and that could happen to them.
